Baxter Super Close Shave, is a very deceiving product. It's claims of no irritation are false. The very first day I used it, my face felt very good. But, even with using a brand new razor, The Super Close Shave product allowed for many knicks because it is fast drying. I don't recommend this product, the next day, I began to break out in pimples, and the product continued to irritate my face. I used it for several days, and no matter how much, or how little, I had the same bad experience.

I must first state everyone's skin can be different. Therefore with any product like this you are using at your own risk.

Now my skin is a razor's nightmare. My beard can be tough and my skin is very sensitive on the neck. I never shave without having razor bumps. I am sure many men know this feeling. Sometimes the razor bumps are worse and my skin can end up feeling burned after trying to get a close shave. I have found myself trying to shave very lightly on the neck during the dry Winter months where my skin is even more sensitive.

Over the years I have tried just about every razor and shave cream/gel. Generally I always get about the same results. I just take the best results I can get and settle on that.

This stuff is solid. I got it from my barbershop on a whim after running out of Truefitt & Hill 1805. It doesn't lather up as much as the 1805 but the shave is great. Nice clean feeling after, for under $20 can't beat it.
