This review is from: Jack Black Beard Lube Conditioning Shave 6 oz. (Health and Beauty)
This is by far the best shave cream I have ever used.
It takes a small drop on your finger for your whole face.
It acts more as a lube than a cream. I shave with a Mach 3.
Makes shaving a smooth experience.
Leaves a nice after-shave feeling also.
$15 bottle will last a whole year.

This review has a happy ending..please keep reading lol.
I'm a wet shaver and shaving soaps/creams just weren't providing enough buffer for me. So I bought JB Beard Lube based on the rave reviews here. I'm a shower shaver and I tried JB without using shave cream on top of it. Very so-so results. Not as smooth as I thought it was going to be.
The next day I tried the lube after a shower. Dismal results. The problem for me (outside the shower) was the lube dried out as I shaved. Got a few nicks and razor burn on that one. I re-wet my beard and the lube still dried out before I could shave my entire face. I was surprised because I shave at 5 am and it's nice and cool. So no shaving outside the shower after that.
Then, I tried again in the shower. This time I put the JB lube on my face and then added a layer of shaving cream. VOILA!! What an awesome shave!! I use Personna Red and also Feather blades. Both are very good blades and Feathers are super sharp...Read more

The Finest Shave,

In my 30+ years of shaving, I have never had a shave as comfortable and nick free as I have with this product. I would especially recommend it to those who wear facial hair other than a full beard. The lube goes on basically translucent, so you can see where you're going and create an accurate hairline.
Yes, it's kind of expensive, but it goes a long way. I would estimate that I get 60 shaves from one tube.
Of all the products needed for proper men's skin care (scrub, face wash, shaving cream/gel, post-shave lotion, moisturizer/sunscreen), I would say that the shave cream/gel is the most critical for maintaining good looking skin. Less expensive products in all the other categories are more than acceptable (Nivea products are especially good). Splurge in one category, and make it the shave cream/gel/beard lube.
Highly recommended.
