Positives: Evaporates slowly, lubricates for the full several minutes of ultrasound treatment, wipes off readily after use, no fragrance. 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Parker Laboratories Aquasonic Ultrasound Gel .25 Liter Bottle (Health and Beauty) I got this quarter liter bottle of "ultrasound" gel for use with my Polar Heart Monitor strap, which monitors my pulse during athletic workouts. It works great, and it's a fraction of the cost of products made specifically for that purpose. (The total cost, including shipping, was $7.79 --- that's less than the pre-shipping cost for *far* smaller containers of the items specially made for sports heart monitors.) 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful: By BJS (Berkeley, CA USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Parker Laboratories Aquasonic Ultrasound Gel .25 Liter Bottle (Health and Beauty) I recently got a home ultrasound unit. The company that makes it--which is highly reputable and provides wonderful customer service--also makes an ultrasound gel. They send a complimentary bottle with your first order.
This gel is half the price; and in my opinion, much better. It's unscented, so your house doesn't smell like a PT facility after you use it. The bottle is very well-designed: you can control exactly how much gel comes out. With the other product, the bottle had a much wider opening. The tendency was to get a huge glop of gel, more than you can use (because you have to shake the bottle hard to get the gel to come out). Believe me, this is a process that gets MESSY. You have to watch out, or you'll have gel everywhere. You don't want to make it even worse. |
